Reiun-in, another sub-temple of Tofoku-ji was built in 1390. Its garden was left in ruins for a long period of time and was reconstructed only recently in 1970 by Shigemori Mirei. Two dry gardens surround the study of the main building. The garden in the south is called “Nine Mountains and Eight Seas Garden” and the second one in the west “Garden of the Bowing Clouds”.
